Going potty for puzzles and jigsaws at festival

All the pieces came together for the third annual jigsaw festival at St Martin’s Church.

Puzzles of many makes, shapes and sizes were on display at the church in Brighouse over the bank holiday weekend.

Tony Sparks, one of the organisers said: “Members of the church and the local community made in excess of 1,000 jigsaws which went on display at the church.

“They have been assisted by people from the Calder Valley and the Holme Valley and well into Bradford.

“In addition to the jigsaws there were a variety of stalls and tombola sponsored b the traders and Brighouse Business Initiative.”

There were puzzles for everyone including mystery, crossword, impossipuzzles, mirror image, wasgij and 3D.

Organisers will also be making a donation to the Together for Looked after Children charity, which is working towards providing book parcels for primary school children through the Letterbox scheme and Busy Box craft kits for pre-school children.
