Halifax charity chief receives a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours

A charity chief at Halifax’s WomenCentre has been awarded a CBE.

Clare Jones has been recognised for her services to vulnerable women, in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list announced today.

She is the joint chief executive of the charity, on Silver Street, Halifax.

Also recognised in the list is the former director of adult social services at Calderdale Council.

Jonathan Mark Phillips received an OBE for services to social care.

Stephanie Ann Crossley Ingham, company secretary of the Halifax-based Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry, received an MBE for services to business.

Deputy chief fire officer Stephen Buckley, director of operations at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, has been awarded the Queen’s Fire Service Medal.
