A child under 12 will cut the ribbon at the Harvester grill which is due to open at Halifax’s new Broad Street Plaza on September 8.
The company is running a competition for youngsters who must say in no more than 100 words why they want to be a Junior Chef.
Entry forms are available from the new grill or firstname.lastname@example.org and must be returned by September 3.
Halifax manager Phillip Crossland said: “We want to mark our arrival at the Plaza in style and what better way to do that than by giving children the chance to become the face of our restaurant for the day.”
Fifty jobs have been created at the Halifax restaurant which is one of 200 which Harvester runs nationwide.
The Deputy Mayoress of Calderdale will open Frankie and Benny’s at the Plaza at 6.30pm on August 24.
