The new Mexican restaurant, Chimichanga, will open at the Halifax Broad Street Plaza on Thursday, December 20.
It will create 25 jobs.
The owners are spending £400,000 on fitting out the restaurant which will specialise in traditional Mexican food with an extensive authentic menu and cocktails. The restaurant will also have a children’s menu.
Manager, Jennifer Teale, said: “I am confident that Chimichanga will be a great addition to the social scene in Halifax and prove popular with people of all ages. We will serve a superb selection of Mexican food in comfortable and stylish surroundings.”
The restaurant will have seating for 134 customers; 118 inside and 16 in an outside eating and drinking area.
Chimichanga will be open from 12 noon until 11pm (Sunday to Thursday) and 12 noon until 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
*The Percy Shaw pub at the Plaza opens today, creating about 40 full and part-time jobs.
