Postmen and women in Halifax have delivered a first class service - delivering 94.1 per cent of First Class mail on time and 93 per cent of next day deliveries.
The Royal Mail have released figures that show that posties around Halifax delivered “a target beating performance” in the first three quarters of this year, according to THS Global - an independent research company.
Nationally, the figures show that Royal Mail also beat its Second Class target delivering 98.9 per cent within three working days - against a target of 98.5 per cent.
Rob Jenson, operations director, Royal Mail said: “Royal Mail’s target for next day delivery of First Class is challenging and our postmen and women work exceptionally hard in the HX postcode area to deliver to these demanding targets, which are some of the highest in Europe. We remain the only delivery company to publish our quality of service and we are proud to do so.“
“I am committed to ensuring that we meet our targets for the last quarter of the year and we are more focussed that ever on continuously improving and maintaining high standards of service.”
