A Halifax pub has been named among the country’s top pubs by CAMRA.
The Three Pigeons, on South Parade, Halifax, was recognised for its standard of ale.
Camra today announced its list of over 200 Local Pubs of the Year to launch April’s Community Pubs Month.
A Camra spokesman said the aim was to highlight the role pubs play in community life.
A recent survey was Camra revealed that 75 per cent of pub-goers believe a well run pub is as important to community life as a post office, local shop or community centre - but despite this 29 pubs are still being lost in the UK every week.
