Joining the world number one, the sisters are working at the end of season Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena in London to a crowd of around 80,000 people.

Lucy, 14, said: “Standing in the tunnel before the first match was the most nerve-wracking moment, but once we were on court and picked up the first ball we have really enjoyed every minute.”

The sisters also got to enjoy perks of the job by working an Andy Murray match.

Charlotte, 13, said: “Of course the best bit is seeing all the players, and being on court with Andy Murray was a dream come true.”

The 30-strong Barclays Ball Kids team was picked from 300 candidates, who travelled across the country this autumn to selection events in Manchester and London. Lead coach Mark Magrath and his team put them through their paces, testing their athleticism, abilities and team work at the Hampshire Health and Racquets Club in Southampton.

As well as running the Barclays Ball Kids scheme, the company aims to reward customers who use RFID Lightband technology, giving free drinks, tickets and more.

One customer will be selected to present the Brad Drewett Trophy to the singles winner at the event.

The World Tour Finals run until Sunday, November 20.
