The question of whether or not Britain should leave the European Union will be debated within the hallowed setting of Halifax Minster next month.

The event, the next in the Minster Series of lectures, is organised by the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce Calderdale Business Forum.

The debate is on Thursday, June 9, at 6.30pm.

The specialist panel guests are Shadow Leader of the House of Commons, The Rt Hon Chris Bryant MP, Halifax MP Holly Lynch and Alex Story – Head of Business Relations for Leave.eu.

Vicar of Halifax, The Rev Canon Hilary Barber said: “This promises to be a lively debate.

“It should provide people with hard facts and reliable information to help them make logical and informed decisions when it comes to voting in the forthcoming EU referendum.

“We will hear the opposing views of our special panel guests on this vitally important subject, before opening the meeting to a question and answer session which will enable all present to participate.”
