Fun for all was had at two events held by the Salterhebble out-of-school club, Hebble Harlequins @ Gail & Jason’s.
The club played host to a football competition attended by 100 children while a ‘Sunday Fun-day’ took place last weekend.
Owner Gail Broadbent said: “The tournament went really well.” Children’s clubs around the area brought along several teams each to the Springhall Mansion site, which involved kids aged three to 13, said Gail.
Of the Sunday Fun-day – which was attended by Paralympic champion Hannah Cockroft – Gail said: “It was a bit of a wash out with the weather but the people that did turn up had a really good time.
“There was a bouncy castle, Hannah Cockroft came and showed her medal off and had a lot of photos taken with the children.
“The police came and children had a go at dressing up as officers and went in the police van.”
The day - from which proceeds will go towards new winter toys for the school children - also involved face-painting, tombolas and ‘hook-a-duck’ along with charity stalls.
Gail said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who turned up between the showers.”
Gail added there are still places available at Hebble Harlequins @ Gail & Jason’s. For more information about the club, visit its website www.hebbleharlequins.co.uk.
