The standard of care for patients at Calderdale Royal Hospital has been well-rated after an unannounced visit by the country’s top hospital inspectors.
In the spot-check in August, teams from the Care Quality Commission visited the stroke unit, short stay unit, maternity wards and operating theatres.
They reviewed the care and treatment records of 25 patients, spoke to 46 patients, 17 relatives and 49 members of staff.
The hospital met all the five care standards. Minor recommendations were made with regards to the sixth standard, the hospital buildings.
