Blood donors are being urged not to miss their donating sessions.
NHS Blood and Transplant is reporting an increase in the number of people not attending pre-booked sessions.
Darren Bowen, lead donor relations manager, said: “We realise that people have busy schedules over the summer when the schools break up and families go away on holiday.
“It can be easy to forget about appointments to donate blood, but we are asking you to attend if at all possible and if you can’t come then please let us know.”
A session will be held at St John the Divine Church Hall, Brighouse, on Friday August 19.
