GPs across Calderdale will offer urgent Saturday appointments until the end of April.
GP practices across the borough have joined forces to offer urgent consultations on Saturdays up until April 25 in a bid to “help people get the right care. in the right place”, the Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group said.
If you wish to see a GP on a Saturday with something urgent that cannot wait, ring NHS 111 to speak to a specially trained advisor.
The advisor will then speak to you about your health problem and confirm whether a GP appointment is the most appropriate service.
Not every practice will be open and five hubs will operate in the area every Saturday, which will offer urgent appointments to anyone registered with a GP practice in Calderdale.
After the scheme finishes, patients will still be able to access the usual urgent care by contacting NHS 111.
