CALDERDALE and Huddersfield NHS Trust is one of 11 in Yorkshire to have reported no mixed sex accomodation breaches.
New figures show since April 2011 - when monthly statistics of mixed sex accommodation became mandatory - the number of reported breaches in Yorkshire has fallen by 95 per cent.
The trust which runs Calderdale Royal Hospital reported no breaches at all - along with 11 out of the region’s 15 trusts. Health secretary Andrew Lansley said: “Hospitals across Yorkshire have done a fantastic job getting to grips with this. No patient should have to suffer the indignity of mixed sex accommodation where it is not clinically justified.”
