Hide AdConductor Sam Harrison described the event as an “amazing opportunity”.
She said: “These musicians are so talented, many of the players have only received tuition from other volunteers.
“This is such an amazing opportunity for the whole group and an experience which will stay with them for life.
“The band are one of two other bands from the UK and we are the only independent UK brass band to be invited.

“We are putting lots of time into practising the music because we want to do as well as we can and hopefully bring the trophy home.”
The band has already managed to raise some of the money needed - the Community Foundation for Calderdale has given the band £2,5000 and the Bearder Charity has given £1,000.
Other donations have been given and money has also been raised through events such as concerts, collections, raffles and bake sales.
