Help needed to track missing South Yorkshire man

South Yorkshire Police is appealing for the public’s help locating missing 40-year-old man James Stephenson, who was last seen in Barnsley a week ago.

Mr Stephenson was last seen at around 2.30pm on Thursday October 9, when he left the Cambian Oaks Hospital in Sheffield Road, Barnsley.

He told staff he intended to go shopping in either Leeds or Huddersfield, but did not return.

Enquiries reveal that Mr Stephenson withdrew some money in the Wakefield area on Friday October 10.

Mr Stephenson is known to travel on the rail network and has been known to travel to both London and West Yorkshire.

He is described as being a white man with ginger hair that is closely shaved and is approximately 5ft 8ins tall.

Mr Stephenson was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper with a brown raincoat and blue jeans. He was also wearing a pair of blue ‘Air Max’ trainers.

Officers are keen to locate Mr Stephenson to ensure that he is safe and well.
