It will now be easier for Calderdale residents to access advice and information following the launch of a new website.

The Making Advice Work (MAW) partnership’s new website will now collate the best online local and national advice, covering a range of issues.

The partnership comprises of Calderdale Citizens Advice Bureau, Age UK Calderdale and Kirklees, WomenCentre Calderdale and Kirklees and Calderdale DART - they decided to work together to make the most of their shared expertise.

Alistair McGregor, Chief Executive of Calderdale Citizens Advice Bureau, said: “Using the internet makes a lot of sense to us. We know that its not always convenient to speak with someone face to face and it’s not the only way people want to get advice.

The website gives people access to a whole range of information and we see it as a great addition to the service we offer.”

Last year, more than 21,000 Calderdale residents contacted one of the MAW partners and the figure is expected to rise.
