Hero’s war medals taken in raid

A WAR veteran’s army medals have been stolen during in a Halifax raid.

The World War Two medals – one for service in Malaysia and another in a black purse with a gold clasp –were taken from a house in Mixenden. Also taken were a Victorian chamber pot, watches and cash. PC Toby Facey, from Calderdale CID, said: “The medals are irreplaceable and hold enormous sentimental value for the family.”
