Hospital food is on the menu at talks

The latest developments in improving hospital food will be showcased at talks organised by Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust (CHFT).

CHFT is one of the first hospital’s in the country to launch the campaign with partners Food for Life and Healthwatch.

The member forums will include food tasting and will discuss the new changes.

Matron Chris Bentley, who liaises between the wards and catering services, said: “There has been a huge review of the food, the preparation, and the delivery to improve the food our patients receive.”

The meetings will be held on April 14, from 1-2pm in discussion room 1 at the Learning Centre, Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, and on April 15 from 5.30 - 6.30pm at the Lecture Theatre, Calderdale Royal Hospital.
