Georgina White and Peter Lobb saw the fire spread across their land overlooking Dobroyd Castle on Saturday at 2.30pm. They battled to save their animals before firefighters arrived.
Since the fire community groups have rallied to support the couple volunteering to help with the clear up and help with their animals.
“We are overwhelmed with all the messages of support and offers for help," said Georgina.
“All I did was put an appeal out for some blankets for the donkeys and horses explaining what happened and it just went mental from there.
“We had offers from people with diggers to come and remove the damage and help with our animals.
"It has been unbelievable . It's a bit like the floods in 2015. It shows that there are amazing people out there especially here in the valley.
“We moved here 13 years ago and it is the best decision we made. The people in Todmorden are great.”
Pennine Animal Welfare Society have been lending their support and have set up a Just Giving page.
A spokesperson for the group said: “Georgina and Peter are avid supporters of PAWS.
“These lovely caring people have helped so many rescued animals big and small.
“As the smoke settles it’s heartbreaking to realise that an awful lot has been taken in the fire. All the animals feed, hundreds of bales of hay, straw, cars, quad bike, horse trailer, horse rugs, pens, stables have been destroyed.
“PAWS would like to spread the word and try to help this kind hearted family get their out buildings, equipment and stables back for them and their animals.
“If anyone could help in anyway it would be much appreciated.”
