THERE was dancing in the streets as people celebrated all that Brighouse has to offer.
Hundreds turned out for the Totally Locally market in Commercial Street, Brighouse.
Stalls offered the finest food and drink from local suppliers throughout Calderdale from Brighouse to Todmorden.
The event was such a success that several of the retailers ran out of stock within a few hours.
Villa Farm Shop, based at Bradley Villa Farm, had to go back and fill their van four times, while cheesemakers Pextenement Cheese, from Todmorden, had sold out by 12.30pm.
Stalls ranged from salad dressings to butchers and there was even an Asian street cafe serving curries and snacks.
The crowds were entertained with a performance from Polish folk dance group Mlody Mazur, who showed off some traditional E$uropean dancing.
Organisers were thankful for the sunshine which made the day much more appealing for visitors.
There was strong interest around when the next event would be and this is being discussed by the organisers.
Totally Locally is an intiative, backed by the Courier, which aims to highlight businesses in our area and support the local economy.
