Hundreds of youngsters gather in the park

The action-packed day proved to be a massive success, with activities including arts and crafts workshops, sumo wrestling suits, a bungee run, a gladiator knock down and live music.

Up and coming local bands entertained crowds, while the DJ tent rocked with talented performers including Heavy Crates Crew, BT3K and Master Blaster DJs.

Budding artists could get creative at the graffiti wall, while those with a head for heights could scale the climbing wall, a new addition to this year’s festival.

The Arts and Crafts Festival offered more activities than ever before to choose from, including tie dye T-shirts, friendship bracelet making, Henna tattoos, face painting, mug decorating, plus more.

And young people showed off their talent at the Urban Market, where many sold their own homemade products from jewellery to clothing.

Now in its sixth year, the event is run by and for young people and the organisation aims to raise the profile of young people within the Hebden Bridge area to show their true potential and highlight what they can achieve.
