The HUNT is on for relatives of two of Calderdale’s Nobel Prize winners.

John Cockroft picked up the prize for Physics in 1951 while Geoffrey Wilkinson was awarded the prize for Chemistry in 1973.

Both men were pupils at the former Todmorden Grammar School and are listed on the school’s roll of honour boards which are now housed at Ferney Lee Primary School.

The boards will be on display at Todmorden Library for 12 months and organisers are looking for relatives of the two men to attend an unveiling ceremony.

If you are related to either of them contact or telephone 01422 392628 by March 21, 2011.
