Get our your blue suede shoes and jive the night away at the Hollybank Trust’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Summer Ball to help raise money for a new minibus.
Huddersfield band J. B. Goode will get the night rockin’ and rollin’ at Bertie’s Banqueting Rooms in Elland with their covers of 1950s classics.
Although the event has a black tie dress code, men can wear their blue suede shoes and ladies can wear 50s dresses if they wish.
The ball takes place on Saturday, June 22, and there are still a few seats left for 1950s music lovers. There will be a drink on arrival, three course meal with wine and entertainment from magician and MC John Danbury, the live band and a DJ.
A table of guests from Huddersfield Town Football Club will be able to celebrate their recent success in retaining their place in the Champions League.
Organiser Suzanne Barton, corporate/partnerships fundraiser, said: “We are all looking forward to the summer ball this year which promises to be a very exciting and fun night. We can’t wait to get dancing.
“We would be very grateful for some further auction prize donations, especially those ‘money-can’t-buy’ prizes. If anyone or any organisation can help us out, please do.
“The work that we do in caring for children and adults with profound and multiple disabilities needs so much financial support and this is one of our major fundraising events. We would be grateful for any help we can get in making this a night to remember and raising enough money to be able to pay for a new minibus to enable our adults and children to have more trips out.”
