Mr Allott said: “This is the first jobs fair I have organised for Halifax and it’s aimed at anyone looking for training, career guidance or a new job. There will be a cross section of employers and training providers present. So far the response from the community has been terrific with a large number of people wanting to get involved. “I visit companies all the time and there are real job vacancies, apprenticeships and work experience opportunities out there including 300 new jobs that are getting created at Window frames specialist, Polyframe.”

Covéa Insurance will alsoprovide training in CV writing and interview techniques.

The free, one-day event will start at 10am and finish at 4pm.
