Hebden Bridge Junior Band has been getting into the festive spirit, and is now gearing up for their grand Christmas finale set
to take place at Carols in
the Square on Christmas
The band entertained parents and friends, past and present, at its annual Christmas Pie and Peas event held, thanks to Hebden Bridge Masons, at the Masonic Lodge.
There were solos by Amy Syrett, Thom Bull, Sam Glassbrook and Jack Holmes and a carol sing-a-long between the mince pies and crackers.
The band also entertained rail passengers outside Hebden Bridge Railway Station and have played at Christmas fairs in local schools in a bid to recruit more members.
It is possible to join without any previous musical experience, both lessons and instrument hire are available for a nominal fee.
Anyone interested is asked to ring 07879998151 or call in at the Holme Street Arts Centre between 5pm and 6pm on a Thursday during term time.
The band is playing at Mytholmroyd Working Men’s Club on the evening of December 20.
This is in addition to performing at Carols in the Square which starts at 6.30pm.
