Kids sing and sign in world record bid

Two Halifax schools will take part in a world record attempt next February.

Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College and Lee Mount Primary School are just two of the schools across the UK hoping to beat a world record for the most people singing and signing simultaneously.

The event has been organised by charity SignHealth and has so far seen over 500 schools sign up.

The current record stands at 95,489 people.

Steve Powell, chief executive at SignHeatlh, said: “News of the event is already spreading rapidly and we are hoping to smash our current record and involve more than 150,000 youngsters.”

Everyone involved in the event will donate £1 to raise funds for the charity as well as finding sponsorship.
