A Halifax landlady is leading calls for more people to sign up to a charity walk in aid of the NSPCC.
Lynda Gianotti, who runs the Moorlands Inn, is taking part in the NSPCC’s HACK (Hike Against Cruelty to Kids) on Saturday, July 6, which covers 22 miles of stunning scenery through Calderdale.
There is also a seven-mile family walk for those who wish to enjoy a less demanding walk and isnrecommended for children over eight.
Lynda, who is also chairwoman of the Calderdale Branch of the NSPCC, said: “It’s fantastic that the Yorkshire HACK is starting in Calderdale this year.
“It will be a great event which is hoping to raise lots of money for the NSPCC. So please get involved and join up.”
The entry fee is £20 for adults. The seven-mile family walk costs £10 for adults and £2.50 for children.
