Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of Scott Hutchison, lead singer of indie band Frightened Rabbit, who are due to play at The Piece Hall later this month.

Mr Hutchison, 36, has not been seen since leaving a hotel in South Queensferry at 1am on Wednesday (today).

His family reported him missing and police are asking for information about where he could be.

But tweets he posted yesterday (Tuesday) have caused concern.

At about 11pm on Tuesday he wrote: “Be so good to everyone you love. It’s not a given. I’m so annoyed that it’s not. I didn’t live by that standard and it kills me. Please, hug your loved ones.”

He added minutes later: “I’m away now. Thanks.”

Frightened Rabbit are due to play at The Piece Hall as one of the support acts to headliner Father John Misty on Saturday, May 26.
