Letter: Phone box library is a great facility

The other week my good lady and I were on one of our walks, up hills and down dales and ended up in the village of Booth. We turned a corner and were confronted with an old style red telephone box.

We were curious as to what the inside looked like, so we went over and opened the door. No telephone, just dozens and dozens of books neatly stacked on several shelves.

There was a notice on the front of the door which read “Booth Community Library”.

That’s the smallest library we have ever seen.

Well done Booth, keep up the good work.
