A talented hairdressing duo have styled the tresses of a string of A-list celebrities at a top gig in London.
Steve Michael, of Savile Park, and Gavin Blagbrough, from Elland, were handpicked by chiefs at Christian Dior to work backstage at the Peace One Day concert at Wembley last month.
The pair, who run the Vinery Hair Salon in Huddersfield, worked on the likes of Jude Law - who Steve has styled before - as well as singer James Morrison.
Supermodel Lily Cole had her hair styled by Gavin before her appearance on stage to introduce the video feeds that featured heavily in the event, highlighting the cause.
Salon owner Gavin said: “It was fantastic - a brilliant experience. It was great to be given the opportunity.
He added: “It was a true privilege to work on both Lily Cole and James Morrison’s hair for such a major event and I know that Steve really enjoyed catching up with his former client Jude Law backstage.”
Creative designer Steve used to work for Browns in London, where he provided a personal stylist service to the famous acting, among other high profile clients.
He said: “It was very exciting - being creative, that’s what we want to be doing.”
It was a frantic backstage environment at the event, with the pair working alongside wardrobe staff and make-up artists on their clients.
Steve added: “It was hard work, we were backstage all day.
“Jude is a nice bloke. He’s a good-looking bloke so you can do anything he’ll still look great.”
