Another touch of the Tour de France has hit Calderdale with a range of markers for cyclists who fancy tackling the route.
The tablets are being produced in Calderdale by two friends, Gareth Ott, 32, from Skircoat Green and Tony Sheard, 31, from Sowerby Bridge, and are being sold at the Hebden Bridge Visitor Centre.
Trisha Heyworth, senior tourist information assistant, said: “We’ve not had anything like this before so we’ll have to wait and see how they go.
“But they are very attractive and we’re happy to help out anything that’s produced locally like this.
“They complement nicely what we’re selling already.
“We’re expecting to be really busy come the summer and a lot of visitors will want a memento of their visit.
“There’ll be lots of visitors to the area who will all need feeding and somewhere to stay.”
The Tour de France Grand Depart comes to Calderdale on Sunday, July 6.
