Lorry turns over on its side and slides into ravine

A lorry driver and his passenger were treated for injuries after their heavy goods vehicle turned on its side at Cragg Vale and slid into a shallow ravine.

The accident happened at 9.04am this morning (Thursday, June 21) at the top of Turvin Road, near its junction with Rochdale Road, Blackstone Edge.

Sgt Ian Hutchinson of Calderdale Traffic Police said the two male occupants of the lorry, a man aged 44 and another in his 20s, were being treated for injuries that were not life threatening.
