Lucky escape for driver as huge fire engulfs car on M62

A driver had a lucky escape as a fire engulfed their car on the M62,

The picture was shared by West Yorkshire Police's Road Policing Unit.

The car caught on the slip road of the M62 at Ainley Top.

The unit confirmed that nobody was injured in the incident at 5.30am yesterday morning.

Posting the pictures on Twitter the unit said: "We didn’t expect to this sight at 5.30am this morning.. Thankfully the driver wasn’t seriously hurt but I think he may need a new car."
