Todmorden based machinery designer and manufacturer Whitham Mills has been appointed by environmental services company Veolia to provide their waste processing machinery.
The 25 metre conveyor and bailing system is the fourth installation Whitham Mills has done for Veolia in recent years, and their tenth installation for Veolia to date.
The new system will be used to separate and bail mixed recyclable municipal waste collected at the kerbside. The system can process 20 tonnes of material per hour.
Managing director at Whitham Mills, Ben Smart, said: “This is a testament to our understanding of the requirements companies such as Veolia have.
“Our continued work with Veolia demonstrates the skilled workforce and high quality engineering we have. We take great pride in our work and help our customers deliver on the promises they make.”
