Man accused of handling stolen goods worth £50k

A MAN has appeared in court accused of handling stolen vehicles, machinery and tools worth more than £50,000.

Colin Marsh, 41, is charged with nine counts of handling the goods at his home in Upper West Scausby in Illingworth on June 15.

Among the alleged haul was a Manitou Telehandler worth £22,000 belonging to Leeds developer Don Little Properties.

Marsh is also alleged to have handled a stolen Caterpillar road roller, valued at £10,000.

A Land Rover worth £9,500, belonging to John Drake, and a £3,500 Kawasaki quad bike belonging to Margaret Baker, are also said to have passed through his hands.

Other goods included a £2,500 JCB breaker unit belonging to Barnfield Construction, and a £2,200 Wessex trailer belonging to Calderdale Council.

Marsh entered no plea and was granted bail by magistrates.

He will appear at Bradford Crown Court on August 4.
