Man airlifted to hospital following industrial accident in Halifax

A man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following an industrial accident in Halifax.

The incident, in which the man suffered a fractured arm and chest injuries, happened before 8.45am yesterday (Wednesday) at a premises on the North Dean Business Park, Stainland Road.

The man, who is in his 20s, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by a Yorkshire Air Ambulance, where his condition was described as “serious”.

Police were also called to the scene. The investigation has been passed onto the Health and Safety Executive, who will take the lead.
