Man dies after Halifax crash

A 59-year-old man has died following a crash in Halifax this morning.

The incident occured at around 10.30am on Dryclough Lane, near to Calderdale Royal Hospital, where the male pedestrian and silver Renault Traffic were in collision.

The man was treated at the scene for serious injuries, but died later in hospital.

Dryclough Lane was closed while emergency services worked at the scene, but has since reopened.

Sergeant Ann Drury of the Major Collision Enquiry Team said; “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around Dryclough Road around the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened, or seen either the vehicle or pedestrian prior to the collision to come forward. Enquiries are ongoing.”
