Man held after Rastrick woman killed in Huddersfield

A MURDER investigation was under way today after a woman from Rastrick was killed.

Michelle Suttle, 23, died from multiple stab wounds in hospital in the early hours of yesterday.

Last night friends described her as “beautiful” and “sweet.”

The alarm was raised when police were called to a house in Baker Street, Huddersfield, at 12.50am.

They found Michelle badly injured.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Last night he was in police custody. Tributes to Michelle, who is thought to have family and many friends in Brighouse and Rastrick, were building up on Facebook last night.

One person wrote: “Some people are taken from this world way too soon.

“It just makes you realise how lucky you are and how life is so precious.

“Do not take it for granted. RIP, Shelly.

“You will be missed by so many. xx”

Another wrote: “Such a shock when something so bad happens to somebody you know.
