Led by Community Champion Hayley Harvey, the team is holding a Star Wars themed raffle in which promotional figures from the DVD release of The Last Jedi are up for grabs.

All the money is going to CLIC Sargent, the UK’s biggest charity supporting children and young people with cancer and the supermarket’s charity partner. It will help the charity support families with the financial, emotional and practical impacts of a cancer diagnosis.

Community Champion Hayley said: “I’m always trying to think up new and interesting fundraising ideas and as soon as I saw the figures I thought they would make a great unique prize for the Star Wars fans out there. In our first year of our charity partnership with CLIC Sargent Morrisons Elland has raised over £6000 and with the help of our customers we are aiming to smash that total this year!”

Anyone wanting to purchase raffle tickets can do so in store at the customer service desk. Tickets are priced at £1 each and winners will be drawn on Friday May 4.
