The green light has been given on proposals to alter the McDonalds store at Salterhebble Hill.
The plans, which include reconfiguration of the car park and drive through lane, a new customer island and two new order displays, will now go ahead.
Reconfiguration of existing signage at the restaurant will include removal and relocation of existing signs with additional signage, including four internally illuminated freestanding signs, two internally illuminated customer order displays and one non-illuminated directional sign.
Calderdale Council’s Planning Committee received three objections from residents of Salterhebble Hill. Residents’ reasons for objection included concerns about increased light pollution from the signage, an increase in queuing traffic, noise disturbance by work carried out at night, as well as safety concerns regarding the new kerb lane.
The plans are subject to conditions, including restricted construction work times, noise level assessments as well as restrictions regarding the intensity of the illuminated signs.
