The Friends of Lister Lane Cemetery employed a local stone mason to create a new memorial to a veteran of the Battle of Waterloo Daniel Milton, who died at Range Bank in 1856, and was buried in an unmarked grave.

The group have also uncovered the lost stone commemorating another Waterloo veteran Robert Nutter, who died at Pellon in 1867.

On April 13 the group are holding their first Spring Open Day at the Cemetery from 12.30pm to 3.30pm with brand new tours starting at 1pm and 2.30pm where visitors can inspect the new plantings of bulbs, shrubs and trees.
