More than 1,500 properties lose power in Halifax

Northern Power Grid has apologised after 1,721 properties in Halifax lost power earlier today (Thursday).

A fault with the high voltage electricity network affected the properties, mainly situated in Boothtown, at around 9.30am.

But power was restored at just after 11.00am.

A spokesman for Northern Power Grid said: “We apologise to all our customers affected by the power cut this morning.”
