All running well on the roads at the minute but rain to come this evening.

Roads are running well with no delays other than the usual build-up of rush hour traffic.

The 8.17am train from Halifax to Leeds has been cancelled and there are delays of nine minutes on the 8.33am and five minutes on 9.03am.

A dry start with early mist but this will clear to leave bright/sunny spells. Becoming very warm as the day goes on but showers will develop later in the afternoon and some of these could be heavy and thundery.

Showers will continue through the night, merging into longer spells of rain at times. Some of this will again be heavy with a continuing risk of thunder.
