Motorbiking vicars rev up for ride

A vicar from Halifax will rev up in a five-day motorbiking ‘pilgrimage’ from Yorkshire to the island of Iona on the West coast of Scotland.

Revd. Neal Lefroy-Owen, Priest at St Hilda’s Halifax and St John’s Warley will join five other vicars from West Yorkshire and the Dales.

They are all members of the ‘West Yorkshire and the Dales Motor Cycle Club’ which was formed from clergy and lay motorbike enthusiasts when the new diocese began a year ago.

A total of ten bikes will set off on Monday, April 20.

The journey will take in beauty spots including the Kielder Forest, Edinburgh and the Trossachs.
