A JUDGE has ordered a man accused of murder to be brought to court next month after agreeing to adjourn his case.
Gavin Sartain is alleged to have murdered his partner – former Rastrick High School pupil Michelle Suttle, 23 – at a house in Baker Street, Oakes, Huddersfield, in June.
The 31-year-old’s case was listed at Bradford Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing yesterday.
Sartain appeared via a video link from prison where he is remanded in custody.
Former Rastrick High pupil Ms Suttle was rushed to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary after suffering multiple stab wounds after an incident at the couple’s home.
She later died in hospital.
After discussions about the case, Judge James Stewart QC agreed to adjourn the proceedings until October 3.
But he told Sartain he would be brought to Bradford Crown Court at the next appearance.
