Proceeds from the event are expected to nudge £2,000 will go to Overgate Hospice, Elland.

Organiser Angela Curran has organised several events for the hospice and said this was the biggest by far.

“It was absolutely amazing and made me want to cry,” she said.

“I’m so proud to live in Hove Edge and it was a lovely day for everybody - the atmosphere was second to none.”

She thanked all those who supported the event and in particular Brighouse Juniors Football Club.

Mrs Curran said she would now talk to hospice staff and the Brighouse Friends of Overgate about repeating the event next year.
