Neighbours Day is on horizon

Local community groups, organisations, and charities are being called upon in preparation of Calderdale Neighbours’ Day.

The free event – which takes place on June 8 at the Piece Hall, Halifax – will feature live music, dance, sports activities and arts and crafts, as well as a community marketplace. Neighbours’ Day coordinator Steve Blackman said: “It’s an opportunity for groups throughout Calderdale to showcase what they do and tell the whole community about themselves.

“There will be just 30 stalls in the community market, so we’d recommend that you book as soon as possible.”

Around 10,000 people are expected at the annual event which is now in its eighth year.
