New role for Canon Allison at Coley Parish Church

Rev Canon James Allison has been appointed the new vicar of Coley Parish Church.

He and his wife Catherine are familiar figures as he led St Michael’s Church in Mytholmroyd and St John The Baptist in Cragg Vale for 14 years.

Canon Allison will be licensed on Thursday, November 29, as Priest in Charge at Coley and Deanery Development Advisor. The Bishop of Pontefract Tony Robinson will attend.

The congregation have been without their own vicar for almost a year since Rev Mark Madeley left for a new position in the West Country.

Christmas services include: Christingle, December 16, 4 pm; Crib service, Christmas Eve, 4 pm; Carols and Lessons by Candlelight, Christmas Eve, 6.30 pm followed by Midnight Communion, 11.30 pm. Christmas Day Services, 9 am and 10.30 am.
