The event will include presentations reflecting on the progress the CCG has made during the past year as the lead commissioner for health services across Calderdale.

The AGM will also look to the future, focusing on the benefits that are being brought about by the CCG’s Care Closer to Home programme.

This programme, in partnership with local health and social care organisations, is giving people in Calderdale access to the care closer to where they live and reducing the need for unplanned hospital admissions.

Dr Matt Walsh, from the Calderdale CCG, said: “Over the past year, through Care Closer to Home, we’ve laid the foundations for the continued improvement of healthcare services in Calderdale. Now we’re beginning to see the benefits in terms of patients’ journeys, savings in healthcare spending and reductions in hospital admissions.

“The AGM is an opportunity for the CCG to highlight the successes of Care Closer to Home and the partnerships the CCG has formed with healthcare providers from across the public, private and third sectors, and answer questions from the public about the changing way healthcare is being provided in Calderdale.
