A night of fun for two great causes
Two worthy causes have benefited following a Michael Buble Valentine's Day tribute evening at Hebden Bridge Golf Club.
A charity auction, combined with ticket profits, raised a fantastic £1,800. Money from the night, arranged by the Mayor of Luddenden, Thomas Collinge, and the Mayor’s Committee, was donated to Luddendenfoot Civic Centre after it was flooded on Boxing Day.
A donation was also given to a fund set up in memory of Penny Lockett, from Midgley, who died after contracting bacterial meningitis. The picture shows Gill Radford, Deputy Mayor of Luddenden, presenting a cheque to the civic centre.
